Jacking and skidding
When transporting heavy components, situations can arise where ordinary cranes are inadequate, or confined spaces may mean that they cannot be used.
Havator Group's fleet includes hydraulic jacks, haulage tracks, wire jacks and lift masts. The specialised know-how within the group benefits customers in windpower, harbour operations and large-scale industrial plants. Typical transports involve windpower components such as turbines, generators and transformers.
The Hydrospex SBL 1100 hydraulic system is mounted on special horizontal skid tracks and consists of four lifting towers. The towers have a three-stage telescopic hydraulic cylinder and a separate pump unit. With four towers the system has a capacity of 1,000 tonnes to 7.1 metres, 700 tonnes to 9.9 metres and 400 tonnes to 12.70 metres.
