The Havator subsidiary Polar Lift focuses on harbor crane services. The company has operations along the Gulf of Bothnia coast in Finland and Sweden, as well as in Norway, in the world's northernmost town, Hammerfest (Rypefjord Harbour). Polar Lift also provides mobile crane services in Hamina.
The busines concept of Polar Lift is to offer competititve lifting services for all loading and unloading of ships.
In February 2008, Polar Lift merged with Polarbase AS in Hammerfest. The new company offers harbor crane services under the name Polar Lift AS.
Polar Lift AS offers turnkey solutions for large-scale projects in the Barents Region.
Polar Lift co-operates with Havator Transport.
Havator Transport has been a pioneer in the Nordic countries with its investments in SPMT equipment. SPMT axles are used in confined spaces with transport needs that require the help of computer control and free fields of operation. Objects moved on SPMT axles can weigh from a hundred to thousands of tonnes.
