Havator Group purchased a Hydrospex gantry system

22.01.2008

Havator Group has purchased a Hydrospex SBL 1100 hydraulic gantry system. Hydrospex SBL 1100 is a hydraulic gantry installed on separate skid tracks. It includes four basic lifting towers, which contain a three-stage telescopic hydraulic cylinder and a self-contained pump unit.

-This is a versatile and compact addition to Havator's already existing haulage equipment. Hydrospex has typically been used in the installation of power generation products such as transformers, turbines, generators, and power plant diesels, says Timo Riiho, the CEO of Havator Transport.

-This equipment can also be used in operations such as load handling in low storage halls, where ordinary cranes cannot be operated. In addition, Hydrospex can be used as an assisting device in haulage operations, for example as a supporting element below a hauling track, Riiho continues.

In the Hydrospex gantry, a tailored header beam is installed on two lifting towers. The basic towers stand on top of a roller system. The rollers can be hydraulically driven on the skid tracks, and the header beam has a side-shift system.

-The mast can be driven in all directions of motion, and all operations are controlled with one wireless remote control. The basic element of the lifting tower can be hydraulically folded into a horizontal position, which allows the whole package to be driven into a container, for example, Riiho describes.

The lifting capacity / lifting height of the gantry with four masts is 1000 t - 7.10 m, 700 t - 9.90 m, and 400 t - 12.70 m.

The equipment was handed over to Havator in Holland on Tuesday, January 22. The first operations with this equipment will be carried out already during the spring.
