Havator Transport is adding to its fleet a STG5000 wire jack and supporting gantry with a lifting capacity of 500 tonnes.
"The Strand jack gantry enables for example lifting turbines and generators straight off the trailer using a wire jack. The wire jack is in the upper section of the gantry. The upper gantry section can be skidded into the building for installation. The rig is lowered onto the foundations using the wire jack," says Timo Riiho, CEO of Havator Transport.
The STG-5000 masts can be used with existing HSL3000 wire jacks. The new facility includes a hydraulic lifting tower (SL125) which is placed in a horizontal haulage track. There is a remote control in the gantry, which has a lifting height of 6.70 metres. The combined lifting capacity of the 4 masts is 125 tonnes.
"The facility is excellent for the assembly, positioning and adjustment of machinery units. The SL125 is a complement to Havator's gantry equipment. The company already possesses a SBL1100 mast which lifts 1,000 tonnes," says Riiho.
All the above-mentioned equipment has been delivered by Hydrospex of the Netherlands.
