Havator Group has acquired the crane business of the Swedish company Allyft i Östergötland AB.
This acquisition makes Havator AB the biggest company in Sweden concentrated on crane services. After the acquisition, Havator AB will have 180 employees and the turnover in Sweden will be over SEK 400 million. Allyft employs 34 people and its fleet consists of 27 different cranes, the biggest of which has the capacity of 500 tonnes.
Allyft was established in 1972 and its head office is located in Norrköping. In addition, the company has branch offices in Nyköping, Linköping, and Motala. Allyft's main operational area is the region south of Stockholm, all the way from the east coast to the west coast. In the previous financial year, Allyft's turnover was around SEK 70 million.
Allyft's entire personnel will continue working for Havator Group. Stig Mattsson, the Local Manager of Allyft, will continue in his position.
"This corporate acquisition reinforces our activities in southern Sweden, where we already have offices in Göteborg, Stenungsund, and Sundsvall. For Havator the acquisition means that controlled expansion continues just as planned", says Jussi Yli-Niemi, the CEO of Havator Group.
Havator's other branch offices in Sweden are located in Örnsköldsvik, Umeå, Skellefteå, Piteå, Luleå, Kalix, and Kiruna. Havator's Norwegian head office is situated in Hammerfest, where the focus is on oil and gas industries.
"The acquisition is strategically important because Allyft has very similar main clientele in heavy industry to that of Havator Group. A significant part of the Swedish heavy industry is concentrated in Allyft's main operational area" says Hans Westerberg, Havator Group's Area Manager for Sweden and Norway.
