Havator Transport Oy has made contracts on moving two railway bridges at Suonenjoki. The end customer and builder is the Railway Department of the Finnish Transport Agency and the main contractor is STM Suomen Teollisuus- ja Maarakennus Oy. One of the bridges will be moved using traditional means by hauling over beams, but the other will be moved using the SPMT technique, which will be a first in Finland. The bridges to be moved weigh approximately 500 t and 1100 t respectively, and the larger will be moved using the new carriage technique. The moves will take place during the Midsummer's Day break in trafic.
